Burn holes are not rare in shrink wrap covers. Also, it is very easy to puncture the shrink wrap film before it is heat shrunk.
The good news is: it is easy to repair holes in shrink wrap.
If it is a small hole, a piece of
shrink wrap tape will fix it quickly.
If it is a larger hole, a scrap of shrink wrap approximately 2” larger than the hole may be taped (with shrink wrap tape) onto the original cover and lightly shrunk. Make sure everything is clean for best adhesion.
