Hull Preservation Tape has a very aggressive adhesive on it that wont leave an adhesive residue (white and blue only), plus has UV inhibitors in the backing for long term usage. This allows this tape to be stuck directly to the hull and not leave an adhesive residue when removed. This is the tape to use to adhere the edges of your shrink wrap film to the hull for transport, to prevent air from getting underneath.
NOTE: When applying hull preservation tape, it should be cut, rather than ripped, so there is a smooth edge that can be pressed down smoothly and firmly against the shrink wrap to eliminate loose edges where dirt and moisture can get under the tape and break the adhesion.
WARNING: Even though Preservation tape won't leave a residue behind, the adhesive is very strong and can take the top layer or finish off of wood or painted surfaces. Preservation tape should be applied to a small portion of the surface to check the results.
