Anti-Chafe Tape is used to protect sensitive areas of your boat or equipment from abrasion.
Anti-chafe tape is designed to be used under shrink wrap to prevent any type of chafing where the shrink wrap may rub, as on the hull of the boat, on painted surfaces or on Plexiglas. Paint is subject to chafing and scratching, so be sure to protect contact points with anti-chafe tape.
Anti-Chafe Tape has a very light tack adhesive so it will not leave adhesive residue, and is used only as a buffer. Other tapes available are: Hull Preservation Tape (Hull Tape) and Shrink Wrap Tape (also sometimes called Heat Shrink Tape).
